Qualification:

(i) Project Scientist ‘F’ – Mechanical Engineering:

• Applicants should pass At least First Class Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Technology in Mechanical with Min 15 years of practical experience in design/ production/ integration of large Naval system from a recognized board.
• Desirable: (i) Master’s degree in Engineering or Technology in the relevant field as mentioned in essential qualification (ii) Production/design/integration of naval system / shipyard /dockyards or industrial work shop (iii) Expertise towards analysis of complicated solid model and complex workshop label fabrication drawing

(ii) Project Scientist ‘E’ – Chemical Engineering:

• Applicants should pass First Class Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering OR Technology with Min 10 Years’ experience in the field of design or development or fabrication from a recognized board.
• Desirable: (i) Master’s degree in Engineering or Technology in the relevant field as mentioned in essential qualification (ii) Experience in design (consultancy services) / operation and analysis of complex packaged chemical related areas

(iii) Project Scientist ‘E’ – Instrumentation/ Electronics & Telecommunication/Electrical:

• Applicants should pass First Class Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Technology in Electronics / Electrical /Electrical & Electronics/ Electronics & Communication / Electronics &Telecommunication / Electronics & Control / Electronics & Instrumentation /Instrumentation / Instrumentation & Control Engg with Min 10 Years’ experience in research or design or development or production or testing of electrical power generation /controls/Navigation /Sensor systems on Naval Ship – systems from a recognized board.
• Desirable: (i) Master’s degree in Engineering or Technology in the relevant field as mentioned in essential qualification (ii) Experience in large size industrial design consultancy projects for process instrumentation with experience towards selection/ integration / testing of process instruments. Or Experience indesign / integration/testing of high capacity power electronicsfor industrial or defence purpose

(iv) Project Scientist ‘D’ – Chemical Engineering :

• Applicants should pass First Class Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Technology in Chemical Engineering with Min 7 Years’ experience in experimental research, design &development of process plant / operation &maintenance of process plant / Modelling and Processfrom a recognized board.

(v) Project Scientist ‘D’ – Electrical Engineering/ Electronics Engineering/ Electronics and Communication Engineering:

• Applicants should pass First Class Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Technology in Electronics/Electrical/ Electrical &Electronics/ Electronics& Communication /Electronics & Telecommunication / Electronics & Control /Electronics & Instrumentation / Instrumentation /Instrumentation &Control Engg with Min 7 Years’ experience in research or design of electrical systems and controls from a recognized board.
• Desirable: (i) Master’s degree in Engineering or Technology in the relevant field as mentioned in essential qualification (ii) Design / development / production testing of electrical power generation / Electrical system / controls / Sensor systems of Process plant

(vi) Project Scientist ‘C’ – Chemical Engineering:

• Applicants should pass First Class Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Technology in Chemical Engineering with Min 3 Years’ experience in experimental research, design &development of process plant / operation & maintenance of process plant / Modelling and Process from a recognized board.
• Desirable: (i) Master’s degree in Engineering or Technology in the relevant field as mentioned in essential qualification (ii) Experience in Simulation of Chemical Plants/ safety of chemical process plant

(vii) Project Scientist ‘C’ – Physical Chemistry:

• Applicants should pass First Class Master’s Degree in Physical Chemistry with Min 3 Years’ experience in Research / Synthesis of electro catalyst materials / electrochemical system from a recognized board.
• Desirable: (i) Doctorate Degree in Physical Chemistry (ii) Research and synthesis of electro catalyst material for energy systems

(viii) Project Scientist ‘B’ – Chemical Engineering / Chemical Technology:

• Applicants should pass First Class Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Technology in Chemical Engineering / Chemical Technology from a recognized board.
• Desirable: (i) Master’s degree in Engineering or Technology in therelevant field as mentioned in essential qualification (ii) Upto 3 years’ experience in Process Development, Operation and safety of Chemical Plants

(ix) Project Scientist ‘B’ – Chemistry:

• Applicants should pass First Class Master’s Degree in Chemistry from a recognized board.
• Desirable: (i) Doctorate Degree in Chemistry / Physical Chemistry (ii) Upto 3 years’ experience in Research and synthesis of electrocatalyst material for energy system
